MENU - 2/17/11

Hello!
This week I made an amazing root vegetable soup. Carrots, parsnips, sweet potatoes, turnips, potatoes and rutabagas were combined to make a delicious soup! The hearty taste of the root vegetables adds a sweet undercurrent to the spiciness (lovely spices!) of this soup. 


Bread, granola, hummus and salad dressing were also available. Yum!
Next week I will be making:  Sweet Potato and Tomato soup: onions, sweet potatoes and tomatoes.

MENU - 2/3/11 and 2/10/11

This past week (2/3/11) I made butternut squash/ tart apple / leek / peanut butter soup. I enjoyed making a vibrant orange soup... seeing a pop of color amongst all of this dreary gray winter weather was awesome. 

On Thursday 2/10/11 - I will be cooking a lovely Indian Red Lentil soup.

The title of the soup usually makes people think of 'spicy - hot' Indian cooking. This soup is NOT too spicy-hot... and certainly not bland! Its just right. And as always the other items that we offer will be for sale: bread, hummus, salad dressing and granola.
